PCOS

PCOS, or Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, is a constellation of symptoms characterised by two of the three criteria:
1- Multiple small cysts on the ovaries are visible via ultrasound.
2- Irregular periods
3- Signs of hyperandrogenism.
Other symptoms include infertility, Insulin resistance, and increased risk of cardiovascular disease and uterine cancer. It’s estimated to affect 8-13% of women in their reproductive years. Your reproduction and general health need to be diagnosed and treated appropriately.
